We're excited to be featured for VoyageLA LA's Most Inspiring Stories. Article posted below:

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandy Salazar, Owner of JSEA VISION.

Hi Sandy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?

JSEA VISION was not created out of passion but rather out of necessity that grew into a passion. Before COVID hit, I enjoyed working as a substitute teacher at my children’s school while my husband worked in the healthcare industry. When COVID hit and schools shut down, I was no longer able to work. In the first week of the pandemic, my husband became infected with COVID. All of a sudden, our income dropped and things were at a standstill. With 39 days of COVID, there was no way to predict whether he would live or die. Luckily he survived COVID but with a long recovery road ahead. With so much uncertainty my focus had to turn to my family’s future and how to secure it.

In order to build my business, I decided to leverage my risk-taking skills and entrepreneurial experiences. My goal in starting a business was to ensure that my family would be financially stable no matter what the outside conditions may be. Due to my personal experience with COVID, I knew I wanted to create a product that is meaningful and helps mitigate the risk for COVID exposure. Businesses were in trouble, and I wanted to offer solutions. It was then that the idea of creating 3D virtual tours became a reality for our product and service. To me, it was easy to see how 3D virtual tours can help businesses connect with their customers digitally and thrive. That’s when I created JSEA VISION, which stands for Jose, Sandy, Ethan, and Alexis. Each of our names is singularly represented in our business name, unified in our vision for our family and our clients. Our vision is to deliver an immersive 3D virtual tour of our client’s business so they can gain clients and thrive in a crowded digital space.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

Starting a business is challenging. Starting a woman-owned business in a male dominant industry during the pandemic while caring for my family presents its own multi-layers of challenges and obstacles. Making the decision to invest our savings in this business without any promises or guarantees of success has been one of the biggest obstacles I’ve had to overcome. Despite these barriers, I have never shied away from obstacles, I have learned that it is just when things are stacked against me that I produce my best work. I believe my unique perspective as a female entrepreneur is what sets me apart from my male competitors. COVID has provided me with a unique opportunity to understand struggling small business owners, allowing me to empathize with their needs. Showing them firsthand how to connect with their customers and remove any geographical barriers. Even though guidelines and restrictions were constantly changing, their businesses were open 24/7 through their virtual tours.

We’ve been impressed with JSEA VISION, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

3D virtual tours are new and exciting but can be daunting to understand its applications. We enjoy educating our clients on the features and benefits of a 3D virtual tour. While giving them ideas and suggestions on how to enhance their user experience.

I help businesses grow their customer base by enhancing their online presence, optimizing their SEO, and increasing their search engine rankings with fully immersive and customizable virtual tours. The virtual tours that I create are not video clips or photos slides, but rather a three-dimensional realistic virtual representation of their business. It is a big world out there, let us help your clients explore yours. That’s the JSEA VISION difference.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?

Creativity is my passion. I am happiest when I’m listening to my clients, learning about their businesses, and creating a virtual tour that reflects their brand. Perfectly curating their business’s digital twin to align with their needs. When I was a substitute teacher, I loved seeing my students’ eyes light up when they made the connection in their minds and understood a complex idea. Now, I find the same happiness in seeing my clients’ excitement when they see the final product, the 3D virtual tour of their business.
